Maruti Suzuki will soon roll out two new models including the second-generation Brezza and the Baleno CNG. Both models will be followed by the company’s new mid-size SUV that will be co-developed with Toyota. It’s reported to hit roads near around 2022 festive season.
2022 Maruti Brezza
The Indo-Japanese automaker will launch the much-awaited new-gen Maruti Brezza in the month of June. Though, its official launch date is yet to be announced. Its pre-bookings have already been commenced at dealership level. In terms of design, features and performance, the 2022 Maruti Brezza will be significantly different from its current model.
The SUV will come with the updated 1.5L K15C petrol engine that will be more fuel efficient than the existing motor, thanks to its two injectors per cylinder setup. It will get a new 6-speed automatic gearbox. The new Brezza could also be made available with the CNG kit option. Feature-wise, it will be more loaded than before. The SUV will offer a larger 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with new SmartPlay Pro+ interface, a 360 degree camera, wireless phone charging, a new flat bottom steering, a new instrument cluster, 6 airbags and more.

Maruti Baleno CNG
Maruti Suzuki is preparing the CNG version of the new Baleno hatchback that will arrive in coming months. The model will use the 1.2L Dualjet petrol engine with the factory-fitted CNG kit. The gasoline unit is currently available with manual and AMT gearbox options. It delivers a claimed power of 89PS and 113Nm of torque.
The regular model promises a mileage over 22kmpl. The new Maruti Baleno CNG will be offered with manual transmission only. Its mileage figure will be around 25kmpl. Prices of the hatchback’s CNG version are estimated to be higher than their petrol counterparts (possibly around Rs 60,000 – Rs 70,000). At present, the Baleno model lineup is available within the price range of Rs 6.35 lakh – Rs 9.49 lakh.
