Skoda Takes Wraps Off Octavia RS Challenge Special Edition
Skoda Octavia vRS Challenge gets some extra features, new design touches and performance components.
To commemorate Octavia vRS 20 years in UK, Skoda Auto has introduced a special edition of the performance sedan – the Skoda Octavia vRS Challenge. The special edition gets some extra features, new design touches and performance components over the regular Octavia vRS.
For power, the Skoda Octavia vRS Challenge makes use of the same 2.0L turbocharged TSI petrol engine generating 245bhp and 370Nm of torque. The special edition of the performance sedan can do 0 to 100kmph in 6.6 seconds. It comes with the same choice of 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The Skoda Octavia vRS Challenge receives the motorsport-inspired, VAQ limited-slip differential that delivers increased engine power to front wheel with maximum grip during cornering. On the exterior, the Skoda Octavia vRS Challenge features sporty black trim, door mirrors, black RS badging, new 19-inch black alloy wheels and a sports exhaust with black trim. Inside, the special edition offers heated Alcantara sport seats with vRS bading, a colour trip computer with lap timer and keyless entry and start. Features such as LED interior pack, an 8-inch touchscreen, a vRs badged multi function leather steering wheel an Amundsen satellite navigation and integrated Wi-Fi are carried over from the regular vRS.
