Skoda Superb luxury saloon will soon get a new variant in the Indian market. Called the Skoda Superb Sportline, the new trim is essentially a sportier version of the sedan with sharper styling and Red shade with black treatment. The teaser image reveals the front grille with gloss black finish, headlamp black inserts, fog lamp assembly and pronounced bonnet. The Skoda Superb Sportline also gets blacked out mirror caps, side skirts, lip spoiler and a black roof. The new variant is likely to get a larger pair of 19-inch alloy wheels.

Interior details of the India-spec Skoda Superb Sportline are still under the wraps. Though, it is likely to share resemblance with the model currently on sale in the European market. That means, the new Superb variant will get an all-black treatment inside the cabin with contrasting red stitching. The dashboard will have faux carbon-fibre trim. Skoda has made some mechanical changes to the vehicle. While the ride height has been dropped by 15mm, the electronic differential lock and ‘Adaptive Dynamic Chassis Control’ have been added. Under the hood, the Skoda Superb Sportline is likely to house the 1.8-litre TSI and the 2.0-litre TDI engines that do duty to the regular model. The former with manual and automatic gearbox delivers 178bhp with 320Nm and 178bhp with 250Nm respectively. The oil burner produces 175bhp of power against 350Nm of torque. Globally, the Skoda Superb Sportline is offered with a 2.0L TSI petrol engine that’s good for 226.8bhp and 350Nm of torque.
