Skoda has now silently updated the Onyx and Monte Carlo variants of the Rapid sedan. The sedan is currently available in 6 variants – Rider, Rider Plus, Ambition, Onyx, Style and Monte Carlo. The Onyx and Monte Carlo received small changes to exterior as well as interior.

The Monte Carlo is the top-of-the-line variant, which is equipped with all the premium features. This variant now gets black lip spoiler for the front bumper, new black side skirting and a new sporty diffuser design on the rear bumper. Skoda New Sedan

The new Skoda sedan or notchback is scheduled to be launched in the last quarter of this financial year. The sedan will be based on the MQB AO IN platform and will sit above the Rapid. Codenamed ANB, the new sedan will rival the Honda City, Hyundai Verna and the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. The new Skoda ANB sedan is expected to be offered with two engine options – a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol. While the former is good for 113bhp and 175Nm of torque, the 1.5L engine produces 147bhp and 250Nm of torque. Both manual and automatic gearbox options will be on offer.
