Skoda Octavia RS 245, the sportier version of the sedan, will be launched at the Auto Expo 2020 next month. The information has been confirmed by Zac Hollis, Director Sales, Service & Marketing at Škoda Auto India via his twitter handle. Under the hood of the Skoda Octavia RS 245 sits a 2.0L TSI engine that makes a top power of 245PS and 370Nm of torque. The sportier sedan can be had with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It will come with FWD (front-wheel-drive) system. The vehicle is capable to do 0 to 100kmph in 6.6 seconds, thus making it 0.2 seconds faster than the RS 230.

The performance sedan also gets a limited slip differential that ensures equal torque distribution to both wheels while driving straight. When the wheel spins due to loss of traction, it automatically delivers more power to the wheel that has traction. It also prevents wear and tear of the tyres. The Skoda Octavia RS 245 carries sporty design elements such as a radiator grille with vertical slats in gloss-black finish, front bumper with honeycomb air inlets, full-LED headlamps with the standard AFS adaptive front light system, LED fog lamps and taillamps and trapezoid tailpipe in gloss black.

The Skoda Octavia RS 245 comes with a pack of advanced safety features such as city emergency brake function with predictive pedestrian protection, blind spot detect, radar based adaptive cruise control, lane assist, driver alert, manoeuvre and park assist, hill hold control, camera-based travel assist with traffic sign recognition displays and high beam assist.
