Skoda, the Czech automaker is all set to launch the new Skoda Octavia ONYX edition in the Indian car market. Ahead of its launch, the company has revealed details about the limited edition car. The sedan gets cosmetic upgrades while the mechanics of the car remains the same. This special edition car will be available with both petrol and diesel engine options, but it will be made available for limited period of time.

Talking about exterior changes, the new Octavia ONYX edition gets a new pair of 16-inch Premia black alloy wheels, black outside rear view mirrors, new body-coloured rear spoiler and new door sills. It is only available on the top-of-the-line Style Plus variant. The sedan is equipped with features like Adaptive Front light system (AFS), which automatically adjusts the headlights based on the driving condition. The front fascia of the car gets the dynamic honeycomb air inlets that give a masculine, dynamic and an overall emotive impression. Skoda Octavia ONYX Edition Specifications
The Skoda Octavia ONYX edition is available in both petrol and diesel versions. The petrol model is powered by a 1.8-litre TFSI unit that is capable of producing 178bhp of power and 250Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 7-speed DSG transmission. On the other hand, the oil burner is a 2.0-litre TDI unit that is good for 141bhp of power and 320Nm of torque. This engine is paired to a 6-speed DSG automatic unit.
Skoda Octavia ONYX Edition Price In India
The company is yet to reveal the official prices of the ONYX edition, but we expect this edition to cost around Rs 20,000 more than the top-end Style Plus variant. While the petrol version could be tagged at Rs 22 lakh, the diesel model could be priced around Rs 23.5 lakh.
Skoda Octavia ONYX Edition Launch Date
If reports are to be believed, the ONYX edition production will be limited to around 100 units. The sedan could be launched in the country in the next few days. We will update you as soon as Skoda reveals anything on the same.
