Skoda Kushaq New TVC Reveals Design Details

Skoda India has recently unveiled the all-new Kushaq mid-sized SUV, which is scheduled to be launched in mid-2021. The new model is based on the Vision IN concept, which was unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. It is first vehicle under Volkswagen Group’s India 2.0 strategy and is based on the locally developed MQB AO IN platform.

The Skoda Kushaq mid-sized SUV will directly rival the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and the Nissan Kicks. The company has released a new TVC that shows the exterior design and key features of the new Kushaq. The Skoda Kushaq mid-sized SUV features the brand’s new signature butterfly grille with chrome surround. The grille is flanked by the sharp and sleek looking headlamps.

The headlight unit has Skoda’s Crystalline LED with integrated LED DRLs. At the back, the SUV gets LED tail-lamps with connected LED strip. The Skoda Kushaq features electrically foldable and adjustable ORVMs with integrated LED indicators. The SUV rides on 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. It gets electric sunroof, roof rails and shark fin antenna on the roof.

The new Skoda Kushaq will be offered in 5 exterior colour options – Honey Orange, Tornado Red, Brilliant Silver, Carbon Steel and Candy White. Dimensionally, the new Kushaq measure 4,221mm long, 1,760mm wide and 1,612mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2651mm. The SUV offers a boot space of 385-litres, which can be extended by folding the second row of seats.

Inside the cabin, the new Skoda Kushaq gets a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support and Wireless MirrorLink. Other features include auto-dimming IRVM, ventilated front seats, keyless entry, wireless charging, etc.

The Skoda Kushaq will be offered with two petrol engines – a 113bhp, 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged and a 147bhp, 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque convertor automatic (1.0L only) and a 7-speed DSG automatic with 1.5L petrol.
