Skoda is all set to introduce the Monte Carlo edition of the Kushaq mid-sized SUV in the country. The Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo has been spotted for the first time. It is reportedly to be launched in the second half of April 2022. The new model will come with unique exterior and interior bits; however, the mechanics will remain the same.
The Skoda Monte Carlo comes with a blacked-out treatment on the exterior. All the chrome bits and badging is now black. It is likely to come with red and white exterior paint shades. The SUV will ride on the new 17-inch alloy wheels (similar to previous-gen Octavia RS 245) shod with 205/55 section tyres. It gets prominent Monte Carlo badging on the front fenders.
The new Kushaq Monte Carlo will be equipped with a new fully digital instrument console instead of the analog unit seen on the Kushaq variants. The instrument unit will have a similar setup as the one offered on the Slavia sedan; however, it will have red graphics. The SUV will have dual-tone red-black upholstery for seats with prominent Monte Carlo badging. The red accent will also be offered on the dashboard, all-four doors and on the central console.
The Kushaq Monte Carlo is expected to be based on the Style variant. It will come with features like full LED headlamps, automatic wipers & headlamps, ventilated front seats, auto dimming IRVM, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a single pane sunroof, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support and 6-speaker audio system.
The Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo will come with two petrol engines – a 1.0L 3-cylinder TSI and 1.5L 4-cylinder TSI. While the former is good for 113bhp and 178Nm, the later produces 147bhp and 250Nm. It is likely to be offered with automatic gearbox only. The 1.0L and 1.5L will be offered with 6-speed torque convertor and 7-speed DSG automatic respectively.
