Skoda Kodiaq, the 7-seater SUV from the Czech Republic carmaker, will soon get an off-road variant in India. According to an online media report, the Skoda Kodiaq Scout will hit showrooms during 2019 festive season (i.e. near around Diwali). The Skoda Kodiaq Scout possesses some serious off-road capabilities, thanks to its better approach and departure angles and a slightly higher ground clearance (194mm). Besides this, the SUV comes with an Off-Road mode that alters characteristic curves for all relevant assistance systems and optimizes settings for off-road driving. It remains active up to speeds of 30kmph and helps vehicle climbing up inclines or steeping descents by supporting traction and braking.

Interior of the Skoda Kodiaq Scout further reflects its robust character. Some of its standard features include a Modular Infotainment Matrix (MIB) with eight speakers, a multifunction steering wheel, Alcantara-covered seats with the Scout logo, door trims in the Alcantara design, LED ambient lighting in ten shades, Kodiaq logo in the front door sills, textile floor mats, Driving Mode Select and more. In India, the Skoda Kodiaq Scout will be offered with a 2.0L diesel engine with a 7-speed DGS gearbox. It’s the same powertrain that does duty in the Style and L&K trims of the SUV. It delivers a peak power of 150PS and 340Nm of torque.
