Czech Republic automaker Skoda auto has finally unveiled the much anticipated Octavia in India, which was phased out and replaced by the Laura in our country. The latest generation Octavia is bigger and better in dimensions than the existing Laura. The company has also started the production of the vehicle at its Indian plant in Aurangabad. New Skoda Octavia now has more spaciousness, latest technology features and better functionality. However, the prices have not been revealed yet, but it’s likely to be quite competitive in order to make it a great value for money product.
According to the company, the third generation is the largest, safest, most practical, comfortable and environmentally friendly Octavia ever made. The design of the new Octavia is based on the Mission L concept, showcased at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. It becomes the first Skoda to get daytime running LEDs. Talking about the dimensions, the latest generation Octavia is 4859mm long, and has been given a wheelbase of 2686mm, which makes it about 108mm longer in wheelbase than the Laura.

The company hasn’t announced the exact launch date or month for the new Skoda Octavia, but we are expecting it to come in festive season.
