The long-awaited Royal Enfield Scram 411 has finally been launched in the Indian market at Rs 2.03 lakh (ex-showroom). It is basically a Scrambler based on the Himalayan Adventure. It retains a retro styling, featuring round headlamp and rear-view mirrors. It comes with a single-piece seat and Meteor-sourced instrument console. The tripper navigation system is offered as an accessory. The motorcycle source the fuel tank and a side-on upswept exhaust canister with the Himalayan. The motorcycle gets new wide handlebar and different side panels and new rear profile.

Royal Enfield Scram 411 Headlamp

The motorcycle misses out on Himalayan’s beak-like fender up front. Instead of luggage rack, the bike gets a single-piece pillion grab rail. It gets halogen headlamps, LED tail-light and bulbulous turn indicators.

Royal Enfield Scram 411, the Himalayan based Scrambler is powered by a 411cc, single-cylinder 4-stroke, air-cooled SOHC, fuel injection engine. This engine churns out a maximum power output of 24.3bhp at 6,500rpm and a peak torque of 32Nm at 4,250rpm. Power is transmitted to rear wheel via a 5-speed gearbox.

The new RE Scram 411 is based on the Half-Duplex split cradle frame that also underpins the Himalayan ADV. For suspension duties, the motorcycle gets 41mm telescopic front forks with 190mm travel and monoshock unit at the rear.

The motorcycle rides on 19-inch front wheel shod with 100/90 section tyre and 17-inch rear wheel wrapped in 120/90 section tyre. The motorcycle has a wheelbase of 1455mm and offers a ground clearance of 200mm. In terms of proportions, the bike is 2160mm long, 840mm wide and 1165mm height and has a seat height of 795mm. The motorcycle has a dry weight of 185kg, which is 6.5kgs less than the Himalayan. It comes with a fuel tank of 15-litres capacity.

Royal Enfield Scram 411 Seat

For braking system, the new Royal Enfield Scram 411 gets 300mm front disc with 2-piston floating caliber and 240mm rear disc with single piston caliper. It gets dual-channel ABS as standard; however, Himalayan has switchable ABS.
