Royal Enfield Preparing 2 New 350cc Motorcycles – More Details

Royal Enfield is gearing up for the launch of the new Super Meteor 650, which has recently been showcased to Indian audience at Rider Mania 2022. The new 650cc motorcycle is scheduled to be launched in our market in January 2023. The company is reportedly working on 5 new 450cc motorcycles and multiple 650cc motorcycles for India as well as global markets. These motorcycles will help RE to position itself as a premium bike maker; however, the company will introduce more 350cc bikes to generate volumes.

Royal Enfield has recently launched the new Hunter 350 motorcycle based on the new 350cc “J” architecture. This platform was originally introduced with the new Meteor 350 cruiser bike. In fact, the brand’s best-selling motorcycle, the new Classic 350 is also designed and developed on the new J architecture. Royal Enfield will soon increase its 350cc motorcycle range by introducing two new motorcycles in our market.

New RE Bullet 350

Royal Enfield has started testing the new-gen Bullet 350 on the Indian roads. In fact, the new Bullet with production-ready body parts have already been leaked on the Internet. Not just new Bullet 350, Royal Enfield is also working on a new 350cc Bobber based on the Classic motorcycle. This motorcycle will be positioned against the Jawa Perak and the Jawa 42 Bobber.

Talking about the new Bullet 350, the new motorcycle will retain the original design with modern features. It will come with chrome treatment around the retro-styled headlamp, rear view mirrors and tail-lights. It will have a single piece seat with better lumbar support, a tear-drop fuel tank, a flat handlebar, wire-spoke wheels and single-sided exhaust canister.

The Bobber will sport a single-seat layout with a cantilevered rider’s seat, raised handlebar, wired spoke wheel, a long exhaust pipe and small hood over the headlight. The motorcycle will have a differently styled tail-lamp to make it look different from the original Classic 350.

The new-gen RE Bullet 350 & the Bobber will be powered by a 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that powers the Meteor. Paired to a 5-speed gearbox, the engine produces 20.2bhp and 27Nm of torque. The motorcycles will have conventional telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear. For braking, the bikes will have front and rear disc and drum brakes respectively. A single-channel ABS will come as standard.
