Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Tourer Looks Rugged & Macho – Rendered

At present, Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is the second top-selling motorcycle from the Chennai-based bikemaker in the country. If reports are to be believed, the company is working on 650cc cruiser version of the Meteor and Classic 350. The production version of the new Royal Enfield 650cc cruiser motorcycle might be named ‘Royal Enfield Shotgun. In its existing Indian product lineup, RE has three 350cc (Bullet, Classic and Meteor) bikes, two 650cc café racers (Interceptor and Continental GT) and an adventure tourer (Himalayan).

While the bikemaker has no plan to expand its tourer model lineup, a digital rendering shows a new RE tourer based on the Meteor 350. The rendered Royal Enfield Meteor 350 tourer carries an aerodynamic design with a semi-fairing with a larger windscreen at the front. It has mounts for hard case panniers and mudguards. Compared to the standard model, the RE Meteor 350 tourer has bigger seat for a more relaxed riding position.

Some of the design bits seem carried forward from the stock model including the round headlamp, handle bars, teardrop shaped fuel tank, alloy wheels and engine case.

The Royal Enfield Meteor is currently available with a 349cc single-cylinder engine generating power worth 20.2bhp at 6100rpm and 27Nm of torque at 4000rpm. The motor has a balancer shaft for reducing vibrations. The bike has a 5-speed gearbox to carry out transmission duties. Its braking system includes a 300mm disc at the front and 270mm disc at the rear. The Meteor 350 comes equipped with a conventional 41mm telescopic fork with 130mm travel and twin shock absorbers with 6-step preload adjustment rear suspension unit.
