Royal Enfield Interceptor 650cc Will Be More Affordable Than Ninja 300!

The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is reported to be priced at Rs 2.75 lakh.

Royal Enfield will soon introduce its retro-styled Interceptor and Continental GT 650cc motorcycles in the Indian market. Reports in media suggest that both the motorcycles will hit roads in the third week of November, 2019. However, the official launch date is yet to be announced. Prior to their launch, prices of the vehicles have been leaked on the web.

According to a latest report, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 will be priced at Rs 2.75 lakh, thus making it India’s most affordable twin-cylinder motorcycle. If launched at this price, it will be around Rs 25,000 less expensive than the Ninja 300. The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, on the other hand, will be priced below Rs 3 lakh.

Both the bikes share the newly-developed 650cc, twin-cylinder, air-cooled engine paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox with a slipper clutch. This fuel injected motor dishes out a peak power of 47bhp and 52Nm of torque. It gets telescopic front forks and gas charged twin rear shock absorbers suspension setup. While the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 has clip-on handlebars and rear set foot pegs for upright riding position, the Interceptor 650 gets flat handlebars and the well-placed foot pegs for aggressive riding stance. Both the motorcycles has single seat. The Continental GT 650 is slightly lighter than the Interceptor that weighs 202kg.
