Royal Enfield Hunter 350 – the Cheapest RE Bike Launching Soon

Royal Enfield Hunter 350, the new roadster from the Chennai-based two-wheeler maker, is ready to hit roads in the month of August. Its media ride event is slated to begin on 4th August. We have already seen multiple spy images and videos of the bike. Talking about its engine, the new RE Hunter 350 will use the same 349cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that does duty in the Meteor.

The motor, paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, makes a top power of 20.2bhp and 27Nm of torque. The bike will have a 6-speed gearbox. Royal Enfield might retune its engine to give it a sportier exhaust note. Braking duties will be performed by front and rear disc brakes, which will be further assisted by dual channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). It will have the conventional telescopic forks upfront and dual rear shock absorbers.

Besides engine and other mechanism, the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter 350 will share its design elements and features with the Meteor. It will underpin double cradle chassis and carry circular headlamp and Y-shaped alloy wheels. The twin-pod instrument console will also be borrowed from the RE Meteor 350. What will differentiate it from its 350cc sibling will be a smaller and shorter swing arm, differently designed tank, single piece seat, grab handles, mudguards, taillamps and new rear suspension unit. The bikemaker will offer multiple accessories with the RE Hunter 350 such as a fly screen, a plastic side box and a backrest similar to the Meteor.

In terms of pricing, the new Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is reported to be the most affordable RE motorcycle in the country. It’s estimated to cost between Rs 1.3 lakh – Rs 1.4 lakh. If launched in this price range, the Hunter will be around Rs 10,000 cheaper than the Royal Enfield Bullet. The bike’s model lineup will be offered in two variants.
