2017 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Redditch Green

The major GST beneficiary is the Royal Enfield Bullet Electra that receives a price cut of Rs 2,211.

Welcoming the GST (Good and Service Tax) taxation system, Royal Enfield begun passing on benefits to its customers from 17th June 2017. Now, the company has revealed the new GST prices of its entire model lineup. However, the bikemaker has only announced the Chennai on-road prices of its motorcycles. Following the GST tax rates, the RE bikes with an engine displacement below 350cc have witnessed marginal price reduction and models with a displacement of over 350cc get pricier.

Under the new taxation system, the two-wheelers below 350cc are now charged with a rate of 28%, which is 2% less than the previous rate (30%). On the other hand, the bikes with an engine capacity of above 350cc have attracted an additional cess of 3%, over the 28% GST. Therefore, after GST the Royal Enfield 350 motorcycles that come with an engine capacity of 346cc get more affordable. With a 411cc engine, the Royal Enfield Himalayan attracts more tax thus making costlier after the GST.
