Royal Enfield 650cc Cruiser’s Thrilling Exhaust Note In Spy Video

Royal Enfield is working on a bunch of new products, which are slated to launch in the next couple of years. The lineup includes the new-generation RE Classic 350, Interceptor 350 and a 650cc cruiser motorcycle. The upcoming Royal Enfield 650cc cruiser has been spotted multiple times during its test around in the country. However, a latest spy video provides a clear audio of the bike’s exhaust note that resembles to the RE Interceptor 650.

The new 650cc Royal Enfield cruiser is likely to come with the same engine that does duty in the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. It might use a 649cc, twin-cylinder motor with a 6-speed gearbox. Its power and torque figures stand at 47bhp and 52Nm respectively. For performing suspension duties the new Royal Enfield cruiser will have USD (Upside-Down) front forks and the conventional twin shock absorbers at the rear.

The braking system will consist of front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). It will also get slipper clutch with assist. Similar to the RE Meteor 350, the new 650cc Royal Enfield cruiser will have a new digital instrument console with tripper navigation. Upfront, the bike will carry retro-style round headlamp and a large windscreen. Some of its other key features will include slender fuel tank, alloy wheels, split seats, a twin-pipe exhaust system, fatter rear fender, rounded taillamp and turn indicators.

Official launch date and details of the new Royal Enfield 650cc cruiser are yet to be revealed. Though, the reports suggest that the model will hit Indian roads in July 2021. Prices of the model are likely to start from Rs 3.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
