Royal Enfield Classic 350

The new Royal Enfield entry-level motorcycle is expected to be priced under Rs 1 lakh.

Royal Enfield is currently the best-selling two-wheeler maker above 300cc category in India. However, the world’s oldest motorcycle maker is facing a constant decline in sales due to the slowdown in the market. The company’s entry-level motorcycle is priced at Rs 1.21 lakh. In order to improve sales and to reach maximum buyers, RE is developing an all-new entry-level motorcycle for the Indian market.

According to the ET Auto report, Royal Enfield is currently working on an all-new motorcycle that could receive a smaller capacity engine. The Bullet 350 is currently the brand’s most affordable offering in our market, which costs Rs 1.21 lakh (ex-showroom). With the arrival of BS6 emission norms and new safety standards, the on-road price will surely going to increase significantly.

Royal Enfield’s R&D Centre in India is currently doing a feasibility study. Based on the new study, RE will start development work on the new motorcycle. The motorcycle is currently in early stages of planning and it is likely to take significant time before arriving in our market. It is expected that the motorcycle will not come before 2023.
