Renault Zoe electric hatchback was recently spotted in the country. The spied model has White paint scheme without any camouflage. Just so you know, the French carmaker showcased the Renault Zoe EV (in Blue Celadon colour scheme) at this year’s Auto Expo in February. As o f now, there is no official word on its India launch. Even if it comes to India, it will compete against the Mahindra eKUV100, Tata Nexon EV and Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming small electric car.
Powertrain of the Renault Zoe EV includes a 52kWh battery offering a WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedures) claimed range of up to 385km on a full charge. It has an electric motor that generates power worth 134bhp and 245Nm of torque. The carmaker offers multiple recharging options including the optional DC charger.
Dimensionally, the Zoe electric hatchback is quite compact. Its overall length, width (with mirrors) and height stand at 4087mm, 1945mm and 1562mm respectively. It sits on a wheelbase of 2588mm and has a ground clearance of 120mm. On the exterior, Renault’s compact electric car features a chrome stamped grille, LED DRLs, body-coloured door handles, 17-inch alloy wheels and LED taillamps. The Zoe EV comes with a 9.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with Easy Link intelligent connect system. Some of its other key features include heated leather steering wheel, heated front seats, automatic climate control with eco function, Renault hands-free card, induction smartphone charger and all-time smart app.
With respect to safety, the compact electric hatchback offers 2 driver and 2 passenger airbags, automatic emergency braking assistance, electronic stability program, rear and front view camera, front and rear parking sensors, lane departure warning and lane keep assist and blind sport sensors. It also gets front and back electric windows and hands-free parking.
