Renault Triber RxZ Gets Expensive With Bigger Wheels
Renault India has silently updated the top-end trim of the Triber subcompact 7-seater MPV. The vehicle’s fully-loaded RxZ trim is now available with larger 15-inch steel wheels with 185/65 section tyres instead of the 14-inch steel wheels wrapped with 165/80 section tyres.
Besides the bigger tyres, the Renault Triber RxZ has witnessed a marginal price hike. It’s now priced at Rs 6.53 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), thus making it costlier around Rs 4,000 than before. No other changes have been made to the MPV model lineup.
The RXE, RXL and RXT trim are continued to cost at Rs 4.95 lakh, Rs 5.49 lakh and Rs 5.99 lakh respectively. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. All variants are powered by a 1.0L, 3-cylinder petrol engine that’s good for 72bhp and 96Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard across the lineup.
We have reported earlier that the Renault Triber will receive a more powerful variant in 2020. The carmaker might use the turbocharged version of the existing powertrain. The same engine will also power the Renault’s upcoming subcompact SUV.
Renault will further expand the Triber MPV lineup with an AMT variant that will see a release early next year. The vehicle’s automatic version could be put up on display at the 2020 Auto Expo. It could be reserved for the top-spec trim that’s likely to cost around Rs 50,000 extra than its manual counterpart.
