Renault Triber 7-seater Low-Cost MPV Launching Tomorrow

French automaker, Renault will finally launch the much-awaited Triber affordable utility vehicle in the Indian market tomorrow. It will be the first sub-4 meter MPV that will offer modular seating options. The Renault Triber is expected to be priced around Rs 5 lakh to Rs 7 lakh. It won’t have a direct rival, though it might impact the sales of several B-segment hatchbacks.

The Renault Triber will offer 4 seating options – Camp (2 seats), Surf (4 seats), Life (5-seats) and Tribe (7 seats). The second row seats will have slide, recline, fold and tumble function, while the third row seats can be tumbled, fold or removed. All 3 rows come with independent manual air-conditioning. Under the hood of the Renault Triber is a 1.0-litre petrol engine with dual VVT that produces 71bhp of power and 96Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and an AMT unit.

The Renault Triber comes with a ground clearance of 182mm, which is more than most of the hatchbacks on sale in the market. In terms of proportions, the Trier is 3,990mm in length, 1,739mm in width and 1,637mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,636mm. The new Renault Triber MPV is equipped with a host of comfort and safety features. It features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, and Bluetooth and voice recognition. Other features include digital instrument console with a 3.5-inch MID, two 12V power sockets, a cooled glovebox, projector headlamps, MediaNav with a fast charging port, etc. The Triber gets projector headlamps, LED DRLs and eagle beak tail lamps as standard.

For passengers’ safety and security, the Renault Triber offers up to 4 airbags, ABS with EBD, rear camera, parking sensors, speed sensing door locks, speed warning, panic brake alert, seat belt reminder, etc. It also has Renault Smart Access Car, which automatically locks and unlocks the car from 1 meter of distance. It has a ‘Locate me’ function and a button for unlock the tailgate remotely.
