Renault Triber AMT Launched; Price is Rs 6.18 lakh

The much-awaited Renault Triber AMT has finally been launched in the Indian market. The Triber AMT is available in 3 variants RXL, RXT and RXZ – priced at Rs 6.18 lakh, 6.68 lakh and 7.22 lakh respectively. Interested buyers can pre-book the new model on Renault India’s website, the My Renault App and at dealerships across the country. Renault also claims that the test drive models are now available at dealerships.

The prices of the Renault Triber AMT variants are 40,000 higher than their respective manual versions. It is powered by the same 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that also powers the manual version. This engine is capable of producing 71bhp of power and 96Nm of torque. The company hasn’t released the fuel efficiency figures of the Triber AMT or even BSVI Triber manual. In the BS4 form, the Triber MT was claimed to return an ARAI certified fuel economy of 20kmpl.
Renault is also readying the turbocharged and more powerful version of the Triber MPV, which is expected to be launched during festive season. The launch has been delayed due to coronavirus pandemic and lockdown. It will be powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that is capable of producing 95bhp of power and 160Nm of torque.
In terms of features, the Renault Triber AMT has all the features that are accessible in the manual version. The top-spec Triber model is equipped with features like four airbags, a reverse camera and a rear defogger and wiper. It features a large 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and phone-based navigation. Feature-list includes LED daytime running lights, keyless entry and go and power adjustable ORVMs.
The Renault Triber AMT RxZ top-end model rides on 15-inch wheels. It continues to offer the flexible seating arrangement with rear seats can be removed completely to create more luggage space. The 7-seater MPV can turn into a 3-seater, which increases the boot space to 1000-litres from the 84-litres. The Renault Triber AMT directly rivals the Datsun GO+ CVT version.
