Renault India has introduced a special edition of its popular hatchback – Kwid – in the country. Called Renault Kwid ‘Live For More’ Edition, this new model comes with unique styling enhancements making it look sportier than the regular model. Available only on the RXL and RXT trims, the new Kwid Edition’s prices start from Rs 2.93 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai).
Interestingly, the 2016 Renault Kwid models will get the ‘Live For More’ accessory kit without any additional cost. On the other hand, the 2017 models will be made available with the new accessory package only on special request that too on a payable basis.

On the exterior, the Renault Kwid Live For More Edition features electric red grille, red and grey strips on the body, dual-tone roof rails, red accents on the wheel caps and contrasting rear spoiler. Interior, too, has received minor styling upgrades including dual-tone steering wheel cover and red accents on the door panels.
The new Kwid edition remains unchanged under the skin. This special edition has been made available with both 0.8-litre SCe and 1.0-litre SCe engines and 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. While the 800cc motor generates 53.2bhp with 72Nm, the 1000cc unit returns 67bhp with 91Nm.
Just so you know, Renault launched the Kwid 1000cc and AMT-equipped models previous year. Besides this, the French carmaker is planning to expand the Kwid model lineup with some more editions. The company might introduce the accessorised Kwid Climber and Racer editions, which were showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. Furthermore, the carmaker is working on the Kwid-based compact sedan and compact SUV, which are expected to launch sometime this year.
