Renault Kwid Facelift With More Safety Features Coming In 2019

Renault Kwid facelift will receive cosmetic design changes and several new safety features.

French automaker, Renault will soon launch a compact MPV based on the heavily localised CMF-A platform. Besides this, Renault will bring the new-generation Duster in the end of 2019. The company has also started working on the facelift of the Kwid hatchback, which is expected to be launched in mid-2019.

The Kwid facelift will receive several cosmetic design changes and better equipped cabin. The company will also make changes to the mechanics. It is expected that Renault could modify the platform for better structural integrity. Moreover, the small hatchback will receive more safety features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, seat belt reminder, central locking.

The 2019 Renault Kwid facelift was caught testing in Europe this year. The spotted model was equipped with an 800cc engine. The India-spec model will also be available with 1.0-litre petrol engine. The model spotted in Europe was equipped with a new grille with chrome detailing, new body graphics on the side moulding and revised ORVM casings.

The Renault Kwid facelift will also receive a reverse parking sensor as standard. In fact, the top-spec model could get reverse parking camera. It might also get an updated 7-inch MediaNAV touchscreen with display for the reverse parking camera. The hatchback could also offer a 12V charging socket for rear seat passengers.
