The latest spy pictures of the upcoming Renault Kiger compact SUV reveal some interesting interior details. While a few components will be carried over from the Triber MPV, the Kiger will get a newly-designed dashboard and centre console. For connectivity purpose, the compact SUV will have a floating 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that’s likely to support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. You can also notice air-con vents placed below the infotainment unit.
Unlike the Triber that comes with dual-tone Beige and Black theme, the Renault Kiger will have a dark Grey-Black interior theme. It also gets steering mounted audio controls and auto climate control. The digital instrument cluster and side air-con vents too look different from the Triber. The compact SUV will offer dual glovebox. The spotted model has a dead pedal confirming it’s an automatic variant.
Renault’s all-new subcompact SUV will sit on CMF-A+ platform that also underpins the Triber. Though, the former will have higher ground clearance the MPV. The model is likely to feature signature V-shaped grille with lots of chrome, split headlamps, pronounced wheel arches, bold shoulder lines and roof rails.
Talking about the engine, the Renault Kiger will use a 1.0L petrol engine that’s good enough for 71bhp and 96Nm. The compact SUV will also come with turbocharged version of the 1.0L motor generating power around 95bhp. While a CVT automatic gearbox will be exclusively offered with the turbo-petrol engine, the regular unit will be paired to an AMT. Read – All-New Renault Sedan To Rival Maruti Suzuki Dzire Rival

While its official launch time date and details are yet to be announced, it’s likely to hit showrooms in October, 2020.
