Renault Coupe-SUV

This new Renault Captur based Coupe SUV model will make its global debut at the 2018 Moscow Motor Show in August 2018.

French automaker, Renault has revealed a first teaser image of its first coupe styled SUV for the emerging markets. This new model will make its global debut at the 2018 Moscow Motor Show in August 2018. The new model will go on sale in select markets including Russia.

The new Renault SUV-Coupe will be based on the MO platform that also underpins the Duster and the Captur. Few reports suggest that the new model will share some of the design highlights from the Captur crossover. The new model will measure around 4.3 meter in length, which is closer to the standard Captur. Also See – Renault Duster 2018 – 6 Things You Should Know

The teaser image reveals some details of the new Coupe-SUV front fascia. Going by the spy images available on the web, the new model will have a raked and BMW X4-like rear. The front fascia’s design highlights like grille, headlamps and front bumper seems largely identical to Renault premium models. The cabin is expected to share features from the Captur, which allows the automaker to achieve aggressive pricing. Also See – Renault Duster To Get More Powerful Diesel Engine

The new Coupe-SUV will initially go on sale in Russia and other left-hand drive markets where the MO-platform based Captur is already on sale. Renault could also produce the CMF-B platform based Coupe-SUV for other markets like China. This model will be sold as a premium alternative to the Captur.

It is quite early to comment whether this Coupe-SUV will make its way to India. The company is currently selling the Captur crossover, which failed to generate volumes for the French automaker.
