South Korean automaker Hyundai will launch the much-anticipated ix25 compact SUV in the Chinese market in October, 2014. The company unveiled the near production version of the SUV at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show; however, the vehicle has been spotted several times during its test rounds. If media reports to believe, the production version of the Hyundai ix25 will be shown to public at the Chengdu International Auto Show in September.
It is based on the company’s evolved Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy; the Hyundai ix25 compact SUV measures 4.270mm in length, 1,780mm in width and 1,630mm in height. The vehicle has a large wheelbase of 2,590mm which turns into a spacious cabin.
The Hyundai ix25 SUV will get the 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre naturally aspirated engines; however, Chinese media reports that this model will get the 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre petrol engines. In developing nations, this model will also likely to get diesel engines which are likely to be the 1.4-litre engine.
Initially, the Hyundai ix25 will go on sale in China and later on, the company will also manufacture this vehicle in other nations. The vehicle is also speculated to make its debut in the Indian car market; however, we believe that the company will launch the Grand i10 based SUV in spite of ix25.
