Porsche, the Ultra luxury carmaker, has launched the Porsche 911 Targa in the Indian car market. The sportscar is launched in two variants- 911 Targa 4 and 911 Targa 4S. While the 911 Targa 4 variant is priced at Rs. 1.59 crore, the 911 Targa 4S is tagged at Rs. 1.785 crore, respectively.

1 The Porsche Targa features wraparound rear view instead of C-Pillar, while the B-Pillar is being replaced by a wide bar.
2 It has a movable roof section above the front seats, which takes 19 seconds to open and tuck away behind the rear seats. Also on offer are the sensors at the rear for scanning obstacles.
3 The Porsche 911 Targa is inspired from the original model launched in 1965.

The Porsche 911 Targa sportscar is available in two engine options. While the 911 Targa 4 is powered by a 3.4-litre six-cylinder engine that is good for 350bhp and 390Nm of top torque, the more powerful 911 Targa 4S gets the 3.8-litre six-cylinder more that produces 400bhp of power and 440Nm of torque. Both engines are coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, which sends the power to all-4 wheels through the Porsche Traction Management (PTM) system.
The Porsche 911 Targa 4 accelerates to 100kmph from zero in mere 4.8 seconds and hits a top speed of 282kmph. On the other hand, the 911 Targa 4S takes 4.4 seconds to reach 0-100kmph before hitting a top speed of 296kmph.
