Piaggio One e-Scooter First Images Out: Key Features

Italian two-wheeler maker has officially unveiled its new electric scooter, called the “Piaggio One”. The new e-scooter has been revealed via social media platform – TikTok. This suggests that the Piaggio One will target the younger audience.

The company has revealed the features and styling of the new electric scooter; however, technical details are likely to be released at the global debut on May 28, 2021 at the Beijing Motor Show.

The Piaggio One is the brand’s second electric scooter, which will join the all-electric Vespa Electtrica. The Electtrica was first showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo last year. The all-electric scooter is a lightweight and easy-to-ride model, which shares features from other Piaggio Group scooters. The company claims that the Piaggio One will be easy and fun to ride scooter that customers will fall in love.

The Piaggio ONE comes with host of technological features, including a digital colour instrument panel with a sensor to adapt the background and luminosity to ambient conditions, full LED lights, a keyless start system, and two motor maps. The scooter gets keyless start system, a wider seat for comfortable ride, a decent under-seat storage, a low seat, a flat roomy footplate and pull-out footpegs.

The scooter is finished in two-tone colour scheme. It rides on 10-inch alloy wheels. For braking, the scooter gets disc brakes as standard. The Piaggio ONE will be offered in multiple versions offering different powers (moped & motorcycle) and different ranges, all powered by an electric motor whose lithium ion batteries can be easily extracted for recharging at home or in the office.

The Piaggio One e-scooter will make official debut at the 2021 Beijing Motor Show on May 28, 2021. The scooter will go on sale in select markets by June this year. Piaggio Group is only selling the Vespa and Aprilia brands in India.

This is the brand’s global scooter, which suggests that it could also make its way to our market. In India, it will rival the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak and the Ather 450X.
