Over 6,000 Units Of Kia Seltos Sold In August 2019
Kia Seltos, the compact SUV from the Korean carmaker, has registered record sales of 6,200 units in August, 2019. Deliveries of the vehicle have already been begun across the nation. At its launch event on 22nd August, the carmaker confirmed that the Kia Seltos received over 35,000 bookings. The Kia Seltos has been made available in 16 variants spread across 2 trims – Tech Line and GT Line.
Prices of the Seltos start from Rs 9.69 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom). In such competitive pricing pits, it takes on multiple products right from Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks and Tata Harrier to Jeep Compass and MG Hector.
Engine setup of the Kia Seltos includes a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.4L GDI petrol and 1.5L VGT diesel motor. The 1.5L and 1.4L gasoline mills produce a maximum power of 115bhp with 144Nm and 140bhp with 242Nm respectively, the oil burner makes 113bhp with 250Nm.

Kia’s new Anantapur plant, which has been setup with an investment of USD 1.1 billion, serves as production hub for the Seltos. This facility currently produces around 5,000 units per month of the compact SUV. The carmaker also exports the Made-in-India Seltos in countries like Latin America, Middle East and Asia.
