Over 6 Lakh Automatic Maruti Alto, WagonR, Swift, Brezza, Ignis Sold
Maruti Suzuki India today announced that the company has sold over 6 lakh automatic passenger vehicles in the country. The company has a total of 12 automatic models in its product portfolio including Alto K-10, Celerio, WagonR, Swift, Ignis, Dzire, S-Presso, Baleno, Ciaz, Vitara Brezza, XL6 and Ertiga. The company offers three different types of automatic transmission – AGS (auto gear shift), AT (automatic transmission) and CVT (continuous variable transmission). While the Baleno is the only Maruti car to come with CVT gearbox, the Ertiga, XL6 and Ciaz come with automatic gearbox.

Talking about Maruti Suzuki’s future plan, the company is all set to launch the updated version of its highly popular Vitara Brezza subcompact SUV at the 2020 Auto Expo. With the generation change, the vehicle will receive a new petrol engine.
Besides this, the carmaker might also unveil an all-new Maruti Futuro-E electric vehicle concept at the biennial event in February, 2020. Reports suggest that Maruti Suzuki will also enter into the 7-seater premium SUV segment with the global-spec based Suzuki Vitara by 2021.
