Over 34,500 Mahindra SUVs Sold In Sep – More Models Coming In

September 2022 was a fruitful month for Mahindra & Mahindra. The home-grown automaker recorded total sales of 34,508 units against 12,863 units of the same month last year. The company registered a massive YoY (Year-on-Year) sales of 168 per cent. Recently, deliveries of the new Mahindra Scorpio N SUV have been commenced across the nation. The automaker aims to hand over around 25,000 Scorpio N by the end of November 2022.

Talking about Mahindra’s future plan, the company has confirmed the XUV400 electric SUV launch for January 2023. The model will be made available across 16 cities in the first phase. Powertrain setup of the new Mahindra XUV400 features a 39.5kWH battery pack offering power worth 148bhp and 310Nm of torque. The battery is claimed to be the best-in-industry dust and waterproof meeting IP67 standards. The electric SUV promises a range of 456km (as per Indian driving cycle – MIDC) on a full charge. It’s capable to do 0 to 100kmph in 8.6 seconds and offer a top speed of 150kmph.

Mahindra XUV700 Waiting Period

Prior to XUV400, the Mahindra XUV300 and Bolero Neo SUVs will be introduced with the brand’s new Twin Peaks logo. The updated models have already started arriving at dealerships. Design, interior and features of the SUVs will remain unchanged. The XUV300 comes with the 1.2L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engines delivering 110bhp with 200Nm and 117bhp with 300Nm respectively. The Bolero, on the other hand, uses a 1.5L diesel engine making 75bhp with 210Nm.

Mahindra & Mahindra will also roll out the Bolero Neo Plus in coming months. Reports suggest that the model will come with the 2.2L mHawk diesel engine and manual and automatic gearbox options. It will be offered in P4 and P10 trims along with an ambulance version featuring 4 seats and a patient bed. The SUV will also be available with 7 and 9-seats configurations.
