Over 3000 MG Hector Sold In October; Highest Monthly Ever
MG Motor India has announced that the company has sold a total of 3,536 units of the MG Hector in month of October, 2019. The SUV registered over 26% growth compared to the last month (i.e. September, 2019). On Dhanteras, the British carmaker delivered a record 700 units of the MG Hector including around 200 units from a single point in Delhi-NCR region.
Within one month of its launch, the British carmaker stopped taking pre-orders for the MG Hector SUV, thanks to its high demand. From 29th September, the company resumed its bookings and it garnered over 8,000 new orders in just 10 days.
Recently, the MG Hector achieved 10,000 production milestone in the country. In order to increase its production, the company started second shift operations at its Halo based plant from November, 2019.
The carmaker recently rolled out the first over-the-air (OTA) update for the SUV’s infotainment system. The MG Hector’s 10.4-inch HD touchscreen display for iSmart infotainment unit now supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with the voice assist with better optimization.
MG Hector comes with a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine that can be had either with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed DCT gearbox. Its power and torque outputs stand at 143PS and 250Nm respectively. The SUV’s 2.0L turbocharged diesel motor pushes out a peak power of 170PS with 350Nm of torque. The Hector’s diesel and hybrid variants come with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
