Over 25,000 Bookings For New Hyundai i20; Higher Trims In Demand

The third-generation Hyundai i20 has been doing really well for the carmaker in terms of sales. Launched early in November, the premium hatchback has clocked 25,000 bookings so far. During the festive season, the carmaker delivered over 4,000 units of the new i20. Prices of the 2020 Hyundai i20 starts from Rs 6.80 lakh for the petrol manual variant and go up to Rs 11.18 lakh for the top-end turbo-petrol automatic variant. All prices are ex-showroom.

The new Hyundai i20 model lineup is spread across four trim levels – Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta (O) – and available with five engine-gearbox combinations. The carmaker revealed that over 85% bookings came for the higher three trims. There are three engine options – two petrol (1.2L naturally aspirated and 1.0L turbo petrol) and a diesel (1.5L). While the naturally-aspirated, 4-cylinder gasoline motor makes 83bhp with 115Nm, the turbo-petrol unit is good enough for 120bhp and 172Nm.
