Over 14,000 Bookings For 2020 Hyundai Creta; 50% For Diesel Model

Hyundai India will announce prices of the second-generation Creta today at an event in Delhi. Ahead of its official launch, the company has received over 14,000 bookings for the 2020 Hyundai Creta. While 50% of its total bookings are for the diesel variants, the other 50% is for two petrol variants. The new-generation SUV lineup is spread across five trims – E, EX, S, SX and SX (O) – that will come with three engine options.

Powering the diesel variants is a new 1.5L U2 CRDi motor that’s good enough for 113bhp and 250Nm of torque. The oil burner can be had either with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic torque converter transmission. The petrol models are offered with a 1.5L naturally-aspirated and a 1.4L GDi turbocharged motors generating power worth 113bhp with 114Nm and 138bhp with 242Nm respectively.

The 1.5L gasoline unit comes with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed iVT automatic transmission option. The turbocharged petrol motor, on the other hand, is matched to a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission) gearbox. The SUV offers 3 driving modes – Eco, Comfort and Sports. The Creta’s new 1.5L petrol and diesel engines are reported to deliver fuel economy of 16.8kmpl and 21.4kmpl respectively.

Features such as 17-inch diamond cut alloys, electro chromic mirror, a 7-inch MID display, front ventilated seats, air purifier, remote start, Bose audio system with 8 speakers and sub woofer, black seats with orange piping, height adjustable front seat belts and tyre pressure monitoring system are exclusively offered on the top-end SX (O) trim.

2020 Hyundai Creta Interior Details

The carmaker has offered the 2020 Hyundai Creta in 8 single tone and 2 dual-tone colour options. While Deep Forest, Lava Orange with Phantom Black Roof and Polar White with Phantom Black Roof are reserved for the turbo petrol model, the other variants get Polar White, Galaxy Blue, Typhoon Silver, Phantom Black, Red Mulberry, Lava Orange and Titan Grey.
