The Renault Triber, the subcompact 7-seater MPV from the French carmaker, has achieved a new sales milestone in the country. The vehicle crossed the 10,000 deliveries mark in just 2 months of its arrival. The company handed over the 10,001st Renault Triber to a customer at its Benchmark Motors, Mumbai dealership.
In order to ensure “faster deliveries and best in class quality”, the carmaker has ramped up the production of the Renault Triber MPV. The MPV has a strong demand in metro cities as well as in the rural markets. The Renault Triber comes with a new 1.0L, 3-cylinder Energy engine paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It pushes out a peak power of 71bhp and 96Nm of torque. The carmaker will also add an AMT variant to the MPV lineup by early next year. Furthermore, the Triber will receive a more powerful variant sometime in 2020.
Based on a modified version of the CMF-A platform, the Renault Triber offers features such as a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a first-of-its-kind modular third row called EasyFix, rear AC vents, electric boot release, projector headlamps, LED DRLs and many more.
On safety front, the Renault Triber gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, speed alert warning, load limiter + pretensioner (driver only), seat belt reminder for driver and front passenger, pedestrian protection and rear parking sensor as standard kit. The 4 airbags are exclusively offered on the top-spec trim.
