Over 10,000 Hero Xpulse 200 Sold In Kerala So Far

Hero MotoCorp has sold over 10,000 units of Hero Xpulse 200 adventure motorcycle in Kerela state till date. It’s the first state to record such high sales figures. Commenting on the occasion, Hero MotoCorp Sales and Aftersales Head Naveen Chauhan said that “the Xpulse 200 has stood for providing an unrivalled experience backed by its superior technology, modern design and differentiated appeal”. He also revealed that the company aims to expand its product portfolio over the next five years along with expanding its global footprint. Priced at Rs 1,15,230 (ex-showroom), Hero Xpulse 200 derives its power from a 199.6cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, 4-stroke, 2-valve engine. The motor has been benefited with XSens technology and advanced programmed fuel injection system. It pushes out a peak power of 17.8bhp at 8,500rpm and 16.45Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. The adventure bike has a 5-speed gearbox. It’s based on tubular diamond frame.

Compared to its BS4 version, the updated BS6 engine is slightly powerful and torqueier. With the addition of oil-cooler and the catalytic converter in the exhaust, the bike’s weight increased to 157kgs. Its suspension setup includes telescopic upfront and a 10-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. The bike has a 276mm disc brake at the front and a 220mm disc brake at the rear along with the single-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system).

The Xpulse 200 comes in a choice of 5 paint schemes – Sports Red, Matte Grey, White, Panther Black and Matte Green. Some of its key features include a full-LED headlamp, Bluetooth enabled smartphone connectivity, LCD instrument panel, turn-by-turn navigation and dual-purpose tyres. Hero also offers a Rally kit for the Xpulse at an additional cost of Rs 38,000. The kit includes adjustable suspension, longer travel, Maxxis off-road tyres, handlebar risers, a taller seat, bigger footrests and a larger rear sprocket.
