Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) has achieved a new sales milestone in the UV (utility vehicle) segment. The carmaker has three highly popular UV models – Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza subcompact SUV, S-Cross premium crossover and Ertiga MPV – have crossed the one million sales mark in the country. With this achievement, the Indo-Japanese carmaker becomes India’s top-selling UV marker with a market share of 25.6% during the first four months of fiscal year 2019-20. Commenting on the new sales achievement, Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India, said, “We thank our valued customers for their belief and support. Recently, the Indo-Japanese carmaker added a new model to its UV lineup – the Maruti Suzuki XL6. The premium MPV has been sold via Nexa dealership alongside the S-Cross crossover. The company believes that the XL6 will appeal the new-age buyers who are looking for a stylish and comfortable family car.
