The long-awaited Tata Harrier 5-seater premium SUV has officially been revealed. The company has released a new set of images of the production ready model along with the design highlights and features. It is built on Tata’s new OMEGA ARC, which is derived from Land Rover’s D8 architecture. With this SUV, Tata will also mark the debut of new IMPACT Design 2.0 language.

Tata Harrier Engine Specs

Powering the 5-seater Harrier is a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine that churns out of 140PS of power and 350Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox. The engine also offers multi-drive modes – The engine drive modes (Eco, City & Sport) along with the ESP Terrain response modes (Normal, Rough & Wet). The engine comes with electronically controlled variable geometry turbocharger for excellent low end torque and linear power delivery, and exhaust gas recirculation & after treatment system for maintaining low carbon foot print. The front suspension unit and hydra bush is claimed to be sourced from D8 architecture, while the rear twist blade suspension system is designed by Lotus Engineering UK.

The Tata Harrier gets the segment-best floating type 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The SUV gets 320W RMS JBL Audio with 9 speakers and external amplifier. It gets a 7-inch colored TFT display for instrument panel. The infotainment system is compatible with voice recognition & SMS readout, voice alerts for driver assistance, and USB/AUX-in/Bluetooth audio playback.
