Nissan Micra X-Shift & XL CVT Automatic Launched at Rs. 6.4 lakh

Launched in July 2010, the Nissan Micra has now completed its fifth year in the Indian market. To celebrate this occasion, Nissan India, has launched a limited edition of the hatchback – the X-Shift – at Rs. 6.40 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The company has also added an affordable automatic variant to the line-up – XL CVT – at the same price. While the XL CVT has now become a regular automatic variant, the Nissan Micra X-Shift will have have just 750 units.

On the exterior, the Micra X-Shift features a matte black roof, side decals with the X-Shift badge, reverse parking sensors and a chrome tipped exhaust. Inside, the car gets the Sunny-inspired three-spoke steering wheel, LED scuff plates, an ‘X-Shift’ sticker on the front passenger side, steering mounted controls, silver finished door armrests, illuminated door sills, glossy black finish on the audio console and audio system with Bluetooth connectivity. Safety features like ABS (anti-lock braking system), EBD (electronic brake-force distribution) and a driver-side airbag come as standard fitments with the X-Shift.

New Micra Automatic Interior

Powering both the variants is the same 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that also does duty on the regular models. It produces a maximum power output of 77PS with 104Nm of torque. This engine is mated to the fourth-generation CVT (continuously variable transmission) gearbox that helps it to deliver a fuel economy of 19.74kmpl.

Earlier, the automatic gearbox was available only on the XV petrol variant. A 1.5-litre dCi diesel and a 1.2-litre petrol engine, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, continue to be on offered on the regular variants.
