Nissan Micra Range Gets Orange Colour and All-Black Interior

Since the changes are cosmetic, the Nissan Micra continues to feature the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options.

In a bid to attract buyers during the upcoming festive season, Nissan India has launched launched the Micra hatchback with a new Sunshine Orange colour. Available across all Nissan Micra variants (including the Micra Active), the orange-coloured version also gets all-black interior. There is no change in the price of the hatchback, as it continues to cost between Rs 4.55 lakh and Rs 7.02 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). For people not in the know, the Nissan Micra CVT variant is the country’s most affordable premium automatic car at Rs 5.99 lakh.

Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd., said, “The affordable and accessible Micra offers a charming visual appeal with its new “Sunshine Orange” exterior colour complemented by the edgy, European-style all-black interior. These new options come without any price increase. We’re confident this package will resonate with Indian customers.”

Besides the new orange colour, the Micra range is available in five more shades – Brick Red, Turquoise Blue, Blade Silver, Onyx Black, Nightshade and Storm White. As mentioned earlier, the orange Micra also gets all-black dashboard. It has a black central console with piano black finish, black seat fabric with blue stitching and black door trims. The Micra Active variants, on the other hand, will get a black instrument panel cluster and finisher, silver-colour door arm rest finisher and black seat fabric.

Since the changes are only cosmetic, the vehicle receives no mechanical changes. It continues to feature the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine that do duty in the regular variants.

For people not in the know, Nissan’s low-cost car brand Datsun had launched the GO and GO+ Style limited editions last month. This festive season, the company is also planning to launch the Terrano AMT and its flagship sportscar GTR in India. While the Terrano AMT might come in September or October, the GTR will come towards the end of this year.
