Nissan Magnite Launching Tomorrow; Expected Price Is Rs 5.25 Lakh

The much-anticipated Nissan Magnite sub-4 meter SUV will finally go on sale in the Indian market tomorrow. Interested buyers can pre-book the new Magnite via Nissan’s official website by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000. It will be the most affordable SUV in its category. We expect the new model to cost as low as Rs 5.25 lakh. The top-spec model could cost around Rs 8.5 lakh.

The Nissan Magnite compact SUV will be offered in 4 trim levels – XE, XL, XV and XV Premium – and in total of 8 variants. The prices of the Magnite was leaked during the dealership virtual meet, which suggests that the new model could cost between Rs 5.5 lakh and Rs 8.65 lakh. At this price point, the new Magnite could impact sales of hatchbacks including Maruti Baleno, Hyundai i20 and the Tata Altroz. The Magnite SUV is offered with 2 engine options – a a 1.0L 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol and a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol. While the former is good for 71bhp at 6,250rpm and 96Nm of torque at 3,500rpm, the turbocharged enngine offers two states of tunes – 99bhp/160Nm with 5-speed manual gearbox and 99bhp/152Nm with CVT automatic. A 5-speed manual gearbox will come as standard.

For passengers’ safety and security, the Magnite gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, LED front fog lamps, rear camera with projection guide, vehicle dynamic control, hill start assist, traction control system, hydraulic brake assist, around view monitor, tyre pressure monitoring system and remote keyless entry and i-Key.

In terms of features, the SUV gets LED Bi Projector headlamp, LED DRLs with LED turn indicator in headlamp, ORVMs with integrated blinkers, 16-inch diamond cut alloys, height adjustable driver’s seat, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, voice recognition, 60:40 split rear seat, automatic AC, cruise control, push button start/stop system, wireless charger, air-purifier and JBL speakers.
