Nissan Magnite Compact SUV Design Philosophy Revealed

Nissan had unveiled the long-awaited Magnite sub-4 meter SUV in the concept form last month. The company has recently released the interior design sketches. The vehicle looks close to near production model. Now, Nissan has released the design philosophy behind the development of the Magnite concept.

Nissan claims that the design philosophy behind the development of the Magnite comprises of three elements – Inase, Sui and Kabuku. The company said that the Inase stands for dynamic and vibrant energy. On the other hand, the Sui refers to the purity of purpose and confidence. Kabuku refers to the attitude of the Indian car buyer, and Nissan calls it pioneer and a game changer.

Speaking on the Magnite’s design philosophy, Rakesh Srivastava, managing director, Nissan Motor India said, “We are pleased to share the story of Nissan Magnite concept. It is a true reflection of Nissan-ness testimony to Nissan’s SUV DNA spirit of relentless innovation and Japanese engineering. It is designed in Japan keeping in mind the requirements and aspirations of Indian and global customers with the philosophy of ‘Make in India, Make for the world.’

It is expected that the Nissan Magnite will be launched before the end of this financial year, most probably in January 2021. It is designed and developed on the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF-A modular platform, which also underpins the Renault Triber.

The SUV will be powered by a 1.0L petrol engine in naturally-aspirated and turbocharged versions.
