Nissan Magnite Black Edition Imagined; Looks Sporty

Nissan Magnite is the latest offering from the Japanese carmaker in the sub-4 meter SUV segment. With its sporty design, feature-laden interior, efficient engines and competitive pricing, the model has been doing really well in terms of sales. The compact SUV comes in 8 colour schemes – Flare Garnet Red & Onyx Black, Pearl White & Onyx Black, Tourmaline Brown & Onyx Black, Vivid Blue & Storm White, Sandstone Brown, Blade Silver, Storm White and Onyx Black.

Here, we have a rendered image showing how the new Nissan compact SUV would look like, if it gets a Black Edition. The rendered Nissan Magnite Black Edition features piano black grille surrounds and window sills instead of chrome units. The red highlights on the front grille, fog lamp housing, faux front bash plate, ORVMs, roof rails and side doors further enhance its sporty appeal. The chrome-plated door handles and chrome door claddings, however, have been retained.

No other design changes have been made to the vehicle. One must note that the carmaker has no plan to bring in the Nissan Magnite Black Edition. The subcompact SUV currently is available in five trims – XE, XL, XV, XV Premium and XV Premium (O). It was made available at introductory price of Rs 4.99 (for the entry-level XE trim) that goes up to Rs 9.45 lakh for the top-end XV Premium (O) CVT variant. In January 2021, the carmaker increased price of its base variant by Rs 50,000.

Nissan says that the new Magnite has gathered over 1.80 enquiries in the last one month. It has been receiving over 1,000 booking per day. In order to bridge the gap between demand and production, the carmaker will soon start third shift at its Renault-Nissan Alliance’s Oragadam plant. The new Renault compact SUV comes with 1.0L turbocharged and naturally aspirated petrol engines and manual and CVT gearbox options.
