The Nissan Kicks will feature Around View Monitor 360-degree camera technology.

Nissan unveiled its brand new compact SUV – Kicks – for the Indian market on 18th October, 2018. The carmaker confirmed that the India-spec Nissan Kicks will be bigger than the globally retailed model. While the feature and engine details of the SUV are yet to be revealed by the carmaker, as per a media report it will be loaded with several segment-first features.

Thomas Kuehl, President, Nissan India Operations, confirmed Autocar that the Nissan Kicks will have a separate interior reveal and it will be packed with technology “that is not available today”. Similar to the global version, the India-spec model will feature Around View Monitor 360-degree camera technology that consists of four cameras. Nissan will also equip its new compact SUV with a telematics-enabled smartwatch enables user to track information such as vehicle’s location and speed anytime. It will also get a high-end touchscreen infotainment system that could be compatible to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Japanese carmaker has confirmed that the Nissan Kicks will see a release in India early next year. However, the official launch date is yet to be announced. In India, it will be positioned against the Hyundai Creta and Renault Captur. Speculations suggest that the Kicks could be priced from Rs 9 lakh to 15 lakh (ex-showroom).
