Nissan Evalia facelift

Nissan India has silently launched the Evalia facelift in the country. The company has also updated its official site featuring the updated Evalia. However, the pricing of this MPV remains unchanged and is continue to be offered in three trim levels- XE, XL and XV. The base Evalia facelift is priced at Rs. 8.5 lakh while the top-spec model cost Rs. 10.68 lakh for top spec model.

Changes to the exteriors are limited to its front fascia which now features a new large V-shaped chrome grille incorporating Nissan’s logo. Other than this, the entire MPV looks identical to the previous model. Inside the cabin, the updated Evalia has faux-wood panels, new floor mats, 2nd row captain seats with armrest and roof AC system, tilt adjustable steering wheel and a new formulated glovebox compartment.

Mechanically, the updated Evalia remains unchanged and is continue to be powered by the same 1.5-litre 4-cylinder K9k engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox that produces 85bhp and 200Nm of torque. It is claimed to return an impressive fuel economy of 19.3kmpl. On safety front, the top-spec Evalia gets dual front airbags, anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist, reverse parking sensors and many more.

The Nissan Evalia facelift will compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Chevrolet Enjoy, Toyota Innova and soon to be launched Honda Mobilio MPV.
