Couple of months back, Nissan India had released the official sketches of the much-anticipated compact SUV, Terrano. Mrunal Gandhi, auto enthusiasts has managed to click the fully uncamouflaged Nissan Terrano ahead of its media unveiling on Tuesday. Like we reported earlier, this will be the last Renault-Nissan cross-badged product.
Nissan Terrano is based on the hugely popular Duster compact SUV, however, the company has managed to make it look refreshed. The company has used a new sheet metal panels to develop the compact SUV. The front end of the Terrano has received the noticeable changes such as revised bumper, honecomb design, new headlamps and a big Nissan badge. More interestingly, the front fascia of the Terrano resembles the company’s very famous SUV X-Trail. The rear of the vehicle also has some sheet metal changes, a split rear light arrangement, and few others. More darkened pillars and all-new alloy wheels are also added to give more rugged look.
It is also expected that Nissan could also load more features inside the cabin, which might increase the price. The vehicle is likely to be costs around Rs. 50,000-60,000 more than the Duster. As the unveiling will take place on 20th August, we expect it to hit dealerships sometime around festive season, October.
Nissan Terrano will be powered by the same 1.5-litre dCi and a 1.6-litre petrol engine that also does duty in Duster. Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews for more updates on the same.
