Nissan India is offering its flagship MPV Evalia at a special price of Rs. 7.99 lakh. The company tweets “Celebrate #JoyofSpace & a mileage of 19.3 kmpl, now at a Spl price of Rs 7.99 lacs! Test Drive #Nissan #Evalia today:” Nissan Evalia is priced at Rs. 8.70 lakh, with a special offer it priced around 70k to 1 lakh lesser. With the launch of Enjoy MPV, the MPV segment with Ertiga and Evalia has become more furious. Nissan India is also planning to launch a facelift version of Evalia in India, which is expected to get some design updates, interior changes and better quality.
Nissan Evalia (also known as NV200) has been a highly successful MPV in the global markets, and Nissan had launched this MPV last year to improve its market share and make full benefit of growing utility vehicle segment in India. However, Nissan Evalia failed to impress buyers. It looks more of a Van instead of MPV, and lacks in styling and other appealing factors when compared to Ertiga and Enjoy.
The Evalia facelift is likely to hit the Indian shores by the festive season (Dushera, Diwali). The vehicle is expected to house sliding windows, captain seats instead of bench seats, and much more improved plastic quality.
