Nissan Evalia facelift India launch by year end

Nissan India seems aggressive with its product strategies which includes several new products and facelifts. The company will launch the Sunny facelift and Datsun Go+ MPV in the country. If media reports to believe, Nissan will launch the thoroughly modified Evalia MPV in India by the end of this year.

Speaking to the Business Line newspaper, Nissan India’s president Mr. Kenichiro Yomura said that the refreshed Evalia will launch by the end of this year. According to the Mr. Yomura, the thoroughly redone Nissan Evalia which is based on “extensive customer feedback” will be introduced by the end of 2014.

Nissan Evalia was launched in September 2012; however, it failed to generate volumes for the company. The vehicle lacks several important features such as butterfly opening of rear window, Air conditioning for rear passengers and rear wiper/washer and many more. Moreover, Nissan launched the facelifted model in October, 2013 which checked several issues. However, the vehicle again disappointed the company with its low sales.

The Nissan Evalia is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine that is capable of developing 85bhp and 200Nm of torque. This engine is paired to a five-speed manual transmission gearbox which sends the power to front wheels of the MPV.
