Nexa-Bound 2019 Maruti WagonR Stingray Coming Soon
Maruti Suzuki is testing a new variant of the Wagon R tall-boy hatchback, which is rumoured to be sold through NEXA premium dealerships. The standard Wagon R is available at Suzuki’s ARENA dealership network. It was speculated that the new model could be called by the XL5, but new media reports suggest that the new variant could be the new Wagon R Stingray.
The 2019 Maruti WagonR Stingray will receive subtle design changes and slightly revised interior. It comes equipped with LED tail-lights and high mounted stop lamp. Except from the new tail-lights, the silhouette and features of the Stingray is similar to that of the standard variant. The 2019 Stingray is expected to receive prominent front fascia with updated front grille and revised bumper design. The cabin could receive new highlights in the form of revised upholstery with contrasting stitches and Stingray embossed on it. Similar to the previous model, the new Stingray is likely to be based on the top-spec model.
It will be powered by a BSVI compliant 1.2-litre petrol engine that is capable of producing 82bhp of power and 113Nm of torque. Transmission options would include a five-speed manual unit and an AMT unit. The new model is likely to receive high-end features like projector headlamps and LED DRLs, seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, reversing camera, multi-functional steering, etc.
